The Griffith Family Scholarship Endowment Fund at The Ohio State University

The Griffith Family Scholarship Endowment Fund at The Ohio State University was established on April 6, 2001, by the Griffith Family of Ada, Ohio. The intent of this endowed fund is to support students with agricultural backgrounds from Hardin, Allen, Hancock, Wyandot, Marion, Union, Logan, and Auglaize counties in Ohio in pursuit of education at the Ohio State Columbus and Lima campuses.

Students who are attending the Columbus campus must pursue a degree within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences to be eligible for this scholarship. They will be asked to write about their background in agriculture and how the student has demonstrated a passion for the agricultural industry, whether they come from an agricultural background or not. Preference will be given to students with immediate family involvement in farming; consideration will also be given to students with demonstrated participation in activities that support agriculture, such as 4-H, FFA, Farm Bureau, or who have held agricultural employment. As well as students who have had high academic achievement and extracurricular involvement.

Students who are attending the Ohio State Lima campus are eligible for this scholarship within any major offered at Ohio State Lima. Preference will be given to students who have had high academic achievement and extracurricular involvement.

Recipients of the Columbus Campus will be selected by the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Office of Financial Aid with recommendations by the college dean. Recipients of the Lima Branch will be selected by their Office of Financial Aid.
