Hello, my name is Ted Griffith and I started working with my great uncle Donald Powell and my father Bill Griffith at Powell Seeds LLC in 1992. I have detasseled seed corn since 1978 when my father joined the family business. Over the years I have seen many changes in farming, the seed industry and our own business. The one thing that has been constant is a great group of customers to work with.
I graduated from Ada High School and then went on to earn a B.S. in Agricultural Economics at The Ohio State University. I was also a member of the Ohio State marching band.
After college and joining Powell Seeds LLC, I was elected to the Hardin County Soil and Water District Board of Supervisors and the Hardin County Farm Bureau Board of Trustees. In addition, I served 9 years on the Ohio State Lima Board of Trustees and 4 years on the Ada Exempted Village Schools Board of Education.
I have three children: Tessa, TJ and Téa who help on the farm and detassel when able.
I truly enjoy farming and agriculture. In addition, I have enjoyed the friendships that I have made through the business. I get true satisfaction from helping our customers be successful. To achieve this, I am passionate about bringing our customers the best products and service.
Hello, my name is Doug Griffith. I grew up in the family seed business helping with the field work and in the seed plant. I graduated from Ada High School and then went on to earn a B.S. in Agronomy from The Ohio State University. From there, I went to the University of Illinois where I completed a master's degree in Agronomy.
After college I embarked on a 27-year career in planting breeding, agronomy, and seed product management with Holden's Foundation Seeds and Monsanto in the States of Iowa, Indiana and Missouri.
I retired in 2017 and my wife and I moved back to Ohio. I came back into the family business and am focused on seed production, selecting new hybrids and varieties, and working with our customers on product selection and agronomic issues.
I am a big Ohio State sports fan and my wife and I like to travel. I enjoy helping our customers select the right seed products for their farm and answering their agronomic questions.

I grew up farming processing tomatoes, wheat, beans, and corn with three generations of Wischmeyer's.
I live in Ottawa with my wife, Jessica. In my spare time I enjoy running and gardening.
My passion is meeting the needs of my customers through conversations and problem solving to help them achieve the best return on their acres.
